Here are the Saturday picks...as best as I can. It's been a long week and I haven't had a lot of time to do much besides work and sleep.
Book of the week: Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I just started this on the recommendation of my dear friend Jenn, and I'm enjoying it. It is the memoirs of a woman, who, following her divorce, travels to her "Three I's." That is, Italy (eat), India (pray), and Indonesia (love). I find it easy to read and conversational, and I like the premise of finding yourself. Apparently other people find it tripe and full of drivel, and apparently a "complete liberal agenda." Hahaha, this lady's other "reviews" make me laugh. Look at what her one positive review is...look closely at the author's name. You know she hated Gilbert's book because this is a strong woman who left her unsatisfactory marriage, the author has a healthy sex life, and she found God in a place besides a patriarchal Judeo-Christian environment.
Music of the week: It obviously must be matchbox twenty, who I will be seeing this Tuesday evening! I'm so glad Rob is back with the boys :)
Covets of the week: Jessica inspired me to make a little list of things that I covet...and just like her's, this is in no way a "hint, hint" for anyone! I just like to dream a little :) And besides, I'm allowed to!
- First, this fun umbrella. I'm so sick of my boring black one, and with spring coming up, this is just perfect.
- These ADORABLE flats from Banana Republic. I think they'd be great with jeans or a skirt!
Peace and love,
M
