Diagnosis:

After several months of feeling crappy, I finally went to the doctor after waking up yesterday with intense shoulder pain coupled with intense dizziness and nausea. I thought I was going to pass out for sure. I was as white as a sheet of paper. The doc ran every frickin test, from a basic chem 7 panel to cardiac and liver enzymes, and a chest x-ray and 12 lead EKG. I even had to go back for a repeat draw on my cardiac enzymes because my myoglobin was elevated (I only expect RNs and med students to understand that)...however, that was okay. My doc and I thought that the elevated myoglobin was due to the muscle cramp I had in my shoulder. And the answer is: ... ... ...

I have vertigo coupled with panic attacks. And let me tell you, living while feeling like you're being swirled around a toilet bowl really sucks. Although the wine can't be helping...even though I've only had 1/2 a glass, it feels like I've been out on Water Street for a couple of hours! I suppose I'll have to cut the alcohol out until this is resolved.

Okay. Time for bed. Shrek (the car) has an appointment at 8 am tomorrow for new brakes. He doesn't like stupid city drivers that make him slam the breaks on all the time!

Peace and love,
m
